The Zweckverband Region Finowkanal
The Zweckverband Region Finowkanal was established in February 2020 with the publication of its statutes in the Official Gazette of the State of Brandenburg.
The aim of the association is to promote the development of water tourism in the Finowkanal region for the benefit of its member municipalities. The Zweckverband Region Finowkanal carries out this responsibility as a delegated public task.
Tasks
- Ensuring the permanent water tourism use of waterways in the association area for motorized and muscle-powered boat traffic
- Operation, maintenance, servicing, repair, modernization, construction and traffic safety of locks and other hydraulic engineering facilities
- Promotion and marketing of the water tourism infrastructure and all water tourism offers in the association area, including the organization and implementation of publicity events,
- Provision of ancillary services under the conditions of Section 91 (5) of the Municipal Constitution of the State of Brandenburg.
