Another important milestone in securing the navigability of the Finowkanal was reached with the symbolic signing of the land purchase agreement for the Ruhlsdorf lock between the Zweckverband Region Finowkanal (ZRF) and the Generaldirektion Wasserstraßen und Schifffahrt (GDWS). The six locks Ruhlsdorf, Leesenbrück, Grafenbrück, Schöpfurt, Heegermühle and Wolfswinkel of the first lock package will become the property of the ZRF for the symbolic purchase price of one euro each.
