In lock package 2, which comprises the 6 eastern locks from Kupferhammer to Liepe, the necessary subsoil and structural investigations have been carried out in recent months. These investigations form the basis for the preliminary planning of the lock renovation. They provide information on the condition of the structures and the soil conditions in the lock area. For this purpose, horizontal and vertical boreholes are drilled in the lock chambers. In addition, the exact dimensions of the locks are recorded using 3D scanning.
