On Monday, 25.03.2024, construction work began on the replacement of the Heegermühle lock. As with the other three locks, the first phase involves work to set up the construction site. This includes preparing the construction site traffic routes and the construction site area. During the Easter vacations, the northern access road from Angermünder Straße was asphalted and prepared for construction vehicles. The Heegermühle lock is the first lock to be renovated that is located in the urban area, which poses a particular challenge in terms of space availability.
