The landscape in the Schorfheide Chorin Biosphere Reserve is varied, with forests, fields, meadows, hills and farming villages. In addition to storks, you can also see grey herons and many other birds. Along with the attractive landscape, on the tour you can also explore the organic producers, who produce milk, cheese, honey, sausage, beer and jam. The tour takes place every Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It includes four stops at farm shops and breweries, where you can sample the wares. The tour starts out from the bicycle rental at Bahnhof Chorin train station. The daily rate for a bicycle is Euro 12. The route is 39 kilometres in total and is mostly level. The first stop is the brewery in Golzow, where you can try the Chorin beer. It then continues on through forested landscape to Klein Ziethen to Hof Luisenfelde. This Demeter farm grows 40 varieties of vegetable and a range of herbs. Meat and eggs can be bought at the farm shop. Then it is on the Brodowin eco-village. Various producers are to be found at Brodowin eco-village, including fish from the nearby lakes. The farm shop here offers an extensive range of goods. You can enjoy vegetarian lunch and a drink in the garden. Then on to Schwalbennest. Schwalbennest is also a Demeter farm with sheep, goats and cattle. Cakes and biscuits can be sampled here. The price of the tour including tastings, drinks and lunch is Euro 50. The minimum number of participants on the tour is 3 and the maximum is 12.
