Along smooth paths from Eberswalde to Schorfheide and the boat (74 kilometres) At the end of this round course, cyclists can compare experiences. Have the beauty of nature or the astonishing industrial architecture made a big impression on you? The answers are similar: “The charm is in the mixture.” Eyes twinkle as the look out over the clear Lake Werbellinsee or the dense forests of Schorfheide and as they marvel at the walk-in water tower in Finow or the mighty boat lift in Niederfinow, which currently contains a modern pendant. Others are just as impressed by the mighty walls of Chorin Monastery or the locks on the Finow Canal. Because the tour runs is almost entirely along well-maintained sections of the
Oder-Havel cycle path, the
Berlin-Usedom long distance cycle route, the
Tour Brandenburg or the
Uckermärkisch circular cycle path, the long distance in kilometres is quite easy to cover. Therefore, there is enough time left for quite diverse discoveries along the wayside.
Start/Finish: Bahnhof Eberswalde train station (alternative train stations to hop-on/off: Joachimsthal, Chorin and Niederfinow) via: Eberswalde, Finowfurt, Eichhorst, Joachimsthal, Althüttendorf, Chorin, Stecherschleuse
