Lock renovation
Attention construction site
Since 2023, the historic locks along the Finowkanal have been undergoing gradual renovation.
Even though the Finowkanal is currently not navigable throughout due to construction work, it is definitely worth a visit. You can enter the canal on the eastern side via the Oder-Havel-Kanal, the boat lifts in Niederfinow and and past Liepe lock. From here you can travel around 15 kilometers to Drahthammer lock at the Eberswalde family garden.
