Fishing
in the Finowkanal region
Whether you are an experienced angler or a beginner – fishing is a wonderful way to enjoy nature, leave the stress of everyday life behind and maybe even make the catch of the day. The Finowkanal region is a popular fishing area with a varied body of water.
The historic Finowkanal meanders in wide bends through wooded areas and offers ideal habitats for many fish species with its varied bank zones. Current-calming areas with sandbanks, reeds and trees protruding into the water create perfect fishing spots for hobby and occasional anglers.
Particularly attractive: In Brandenburg, peaceful fishing is permitted from the age of 8 and even without a fishing license. A valid fishing license and a fishing tax stamp are required. Fishing permits are available with different durations – from day permits to annual permits. The costs vary depending on the body of water. Most of the fishing areas in the Finowkanal region belong to the Brandenburg State Angling Association (LAVB) and can be fished with LAVB fishing permits.
So if you want to spend a relaxing day in the great outdoors and perhaps catch your first fish, this is the place for you.
